Hi all,
I just posted a new entry to my crafting/needle felting blog re: a needle felted lamb that I am having difficulty making. I have posted pics of the two I've made so far, and I would LOVE some input from you all on which one you prefer, and why! Please don't be afraid to be brutally honest; that's what I'm looking for! Thanks in advance! :)

Hi Notsoshabbychic, I love the little lambs but maybe they need a bigger, fuller body? I've never attempted making any felted animals, I stick with my baby shoes and lots of other felted stuff but they do seem like lots of fun to make. My 12 yr old keeps asking me to make her a horse! She's a great needle felter so I suggested to give it a try. Happy felting! Chantal from Bits of Fiber (PurplePlatypus on Etsy)
I'm not a big needle felter myself, but have bought pieces from artists that are, and my observation is that the figures are less realistic, so to speak, and more exaggerated. Like the previous comment the body could be big and puffy, with little legs Especially in sheep, which are so charming, I would say go for the humor.
Thank you so much for your comments and input, I really appreciate it!!! :D
I agree with Arlene, if you want to create a whimsical sheep rather than realistic then emphasizing it's sheepiness is great, I loved the coat on lamb 2 but the ears on the 1st were better.
Good luck.
Thank you, TheFeltElf!!!
